Description of Work:
NTM Engineering is seeking an Environmental Scientist with 1-5 years of experience to fill a full-time position in our Central PA office. The position involves both field and office work. Experience with wetland delineation and/or Phase I ESA is required. Responsibilities will include technical activities related to wetland delineations, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, and/or Phase I ESA investigations and documentation. The employee may assist with more complex and/or specialized studies such as lead/asbestos samples. The position requires travel to project sites and project meetings (including overnight travel) as well as conducting field work in all types of weather and terrain conditions.
The applicant must be able to work well in a team and organize and prioritize tasks. Strong work ethic, verbal and written communication, and computer skills are also required for this position.
Minimum Training and Experienced Required:
Qualified candidates must have a BS in Environmental Science or related degree. Must have one to five years of experience in the field. 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus. Experience with PennDOT, PTC, and PADEP, procedures/regulations a plus. Must have experience with Microsoft Office and ArcPro/ESRI GIS Products. A valid driver’s license is required.
