As part of NTM’s 15th Anniversary celebration, we will feature a project from every year our company has been in business.
In 2011, NTM provided final TS&L and final design structural services for widening and replacing four three-span pre-stressed concrete bridges with single-span pre-stressed concrete bridges for an I-81 Bridge Replacement contract.
The project’s bridge activities included rehabilitation and replacement investigation. NTM’s rehabilitation studies included:
- Joint removal to create continuous superstructures;
- Addition of beam lines to widen the roadways;
- Seismic analysis on existing piers;
- Stub abutment and pier widening and
- Miscellaneous structural repairs.
NTM received an “Exceeds Expectations” score from PennDOT for our work on this project.
