The Commonwealth pilot program to fast track “bundled” local bridge replacement projects will fully fund the replacement of seven Luzerne County bridges and three bridge removals. NTM performed design activities in 2013 with construction planned for 2014. Within four months of notice-to-proceed, NTM received TS&L and H&H approval and submitted erosion and sediment and waterway permits for approval. The target let was 14 weeks ahead of schedule.
NTM performed structural design, H&H analyses, waterway permitting, and erosion and sediment control design for the T- 404 over Little Wapwallopen Creek and T-451 over Shickshinny Creek bridge replacement projects. For additional cost savings during construction, the same size reinforced concrete box culverts will be used to replace the existing T-404 and T-451 stone arch bridges.
NTM also performed the H&H and waterway permit for the T- 486 over Harveys Creek bridge replacement project.
