NTM Engineering is seeking experienced staff to fill several immediate openings for Archaeological Field Technician, Crew Chief, and Field Director level positions on projects consisting of several long-term Phase I surveys, Phase II, and Phase III data recovery excavations in eastern and central Pennsylvania.
Job requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology and demonstrated experience in both historic and prehistoric archaeology. Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate experience working in the Mid-Atlantic region. Pennsylvania experience is preferred, but not required.
The hourly wage range is $18.00-$25.00 depending on position responsibilities and previous experience. Lodging and meal per diem will be provided during the scheduled work period. The positions have the potential to become full-time with benefits positions based on experience and performance.
Minimum position requirements include:
- Successful completion of an archaeological field school and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand or kneel for long periods of time, hiking in rugged terrain, and lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. without restriction.
- The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to work under supervision and as part of a team.
