SR 0011 over Harvey's Creek

Location: Plymouth Township, Luzerne County, PA
State Route (SR) 0011 crosses over Harvey's Creek in Plymouth Township, Luzerne County, PA. Due to structural deficiencies, PennDOT proposes to replace the current two-span reinforced concrete T-beam bridge with a single-span concrete spread box beam bridge. The drainage area to the site is 46.3 square miles, and the bridge is located within the 100-year floodplain of the Susquehanna River. Studies were performed on both bodies of water in consideration of coincidental probability. NTM Engineering performed the hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for the project for 50- and 100-year flood events. NTM also developed the waterway permit, a GP-11, for the project using the PennDOT JPA2 Expert System.
