SR 3007-009 over Middle Creek

Location: Township, Snyder County, PA
PennDOT proposes to replace the existing 119-year-old single-span Pratt through truss bridge over Middle Creek (SR 3007 Section 009) in Snyder County, PA, with a two-span precast, pre-stressed concrete spread box beam bridge. NTM Engineering conducted a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of Middle Creek in the vicinity of the proposed SR 3007-009 bridge replacement project. The project is designed for a 10-year return period and a 25-year flood. Analysis of the FEMA designated 100-year flood, the overtopping flood, and the 500-year flood were also required. Environmental factors were important as well since Middle Creek is a Trout Stocked Fishery and four wetlands are located in the project area.
